Slowly but surely!

I am getting a bit better with the blogs. I can never hope to be as cool as Fred, but that was never my intention!

Saturday we went to a Chinese New Year Knox alum event and it was awesome!! The hosts' home is so amazing, it truly defies all explanations. Jeremy and I were lamenting over how small our home is that very morning and just as we were making peace with it once again, we walked into the gorgeous mansion for the party and now we are scrambling to figure out what jobs we need to get into such a home... Several people were there and it was a relief to talk with a recent alum who currently works in the Admission Office because I now know that I am not alone in my perception about the requirements for that position. This young woman is frustrated by the time commitment and finds living in Galesburg as a working adult to be nothing like living in Galesburg as a college student. It's nice to feel validated!

In just a week and a half, we'll be back in Vegas!! One of the attorneys was bragging last Friday about how he and his wife were taking their son to Vegas for the weekend for his 21st birthday. I mentioned that we would be there (again!) in just a couple weeks. (*So there!)

January is already over... Hard to believe! I suppose it is time to address some of the resolutions I had in mind for the year. Slowly but surely....

Thank heaven for...

...little girls! Just read that in an email, actually. Anne is having twin girls!! Not me, but my friend Anne. She and her husband are dark-haired and gorgeous so these girls are starting out with some major advantages, if you ask me! In other twin news, my friend's brother and his wife just had twins, also girls. Very cute- checked out the website earlier. Shopping tonight so I may be forced to pick up some pink things!

Care to weigh in on who is better/cuter to shop for? Girls v. Boys- let me know!! I thought this was a no-brainer before getting to see the boy wonder who belongs to our friends in the murder mystery pic (see Bookers and Johnsons). They have the greatest stuff for him! At 2, he is already quite the little athlete. I no longer know the answer!!

Hump Day

Wednesday. It's the middle of the week. The end is in sight! Yes, for those of us who spend most of each day counting down the minutes until the end of the day, reaching Wednesday is truly an accomplishment.

Much to do and little time left so that's all I have to say about that!

Am I Blogging?/Is this thing "on"???!

Not sure what I am doing here, beyond the obvious- avoiding work, as per usual. Beautiful day in St. Louis- global warming doesn't get the credit it is due! I walked vigorously for 40 minutes- in short sleeves. To think we were concerned it may be a brutal winter...

No one knows of this so I think I will save future thoughts for future postings- after I figure out how to work this!
